I'm a Survivor

Well, I have survived the first week of classes. I am actually glad to say I more than survived. I actually felt like a real teacher! It felt so natural to be in my room with the kids. I think I was actually able to implement some good routines and management.

On the docket for next week: Testing!

I will be administering tests for my students to see where they are in acquring the skills necessary for reading. The pre-reading and preliminary reading skills, if you will. So, that will be good times. Of course, I'll be working one-on-one with the students, so this will cause an overwhelming urge in the other students to:
1. Show me their work
2. Ask for a drink
3. Ask to use the restroom
4. Show me injuries real or imagined
5. Tell me interesting facts about family, friends and other things they find completely relevevant.

To nip this problem in the bud, I will be establishing the B reasons (stolen from another teacher, which is perfectly acceptable in the educational world). You may only approach the teacher if you have need of or are doing the following:
1. Bathroom
2. Bleeding
3. Barfing

Only if you need or are doing one of these three things, may you interrupt the teacher and student being tested.

Cool huh?

Anywho, that's all for now.
